Handling CHARACTERISTICS
Q. How does the swap effect weight balance of the swap.
A. depending on if you go with an iron block LS or aluminum.
(Aluminum Will retain the same weight distribution and total weight.)
(Iron Block Will Add About 100lb to the front.)
Weight distribution on the two cars tested.
Iron block LS
one being a loaded car with leather interior 54% front 46%rear
a 200lb driver sits in the car the balance changes to 51%front 49% rear
Q. How Does Having to lower the Rack & Pinion effect steering.
A. A bump Steer Kit Is necessary to help correct the lowering of the rack & pinion. (Bumpsteer Kits are In Both Kits.)
Q. Can the factory Suspension handle the v8.
A. The rx8s factory struts tend too always be worn by the time the v8 is installed. but if you happen to have good struts
the rear is what is concerning as with all the new power and torque it blows the factory struts pretty easily.
***Upgraded springs in the rear are a must***
adjustable Coilovers are Highly recommended
