10 things i love about my ls swapped rx8
1. You cant just go buy one. This is one really big reason and its because of this reason they are rarely seen.
In order to have such a car takes long, hard and dedicated work.
2. Its an underdog car. The rx8s being so slow from the factory and you cant even make them even quick with bolt-ons makes it so awesome to get next to significantly faster cars than rx8s normally cant even come close to and beating them.
3. The learning experience. You get to push yourself to understanding and learning so much during the build process although it can be frustrating at times.
4. The crazy looks people give you when you tell them it’s a Chevrolet v8 engine under the hood.
Although hearing “How did you make that fit in there?” can become an annoying question after the 100th time. It also never gets old. People are always interested to see the car.
5. The rx8 is such a great chassis strong and safe. Not even having to do any types of chassis reinforcements with 1000rwhp. Along with having great crash test rating.
6. Its an incredible car to drive and just came with an engine that didn’t come with enough power. The rx8 although fun to drive even stock with the unacceptable power of an economy car You could only imagine how much better it is with the power of a corvette.
7. Its an uncommon car now as most of them are sitting around with a bad engine giving others great opportunity for a cheap nice car to throw some horsepower under the hood.
8. It’s a four seater car the people can actually sit in the back seat. Unlike all other 2 door sports cars that have 4 seats they do not have enough foot room for even a child to sit back there.
9. Its not that hard to work on and parts availability and prices. Sense you now have the most common v8 engine in the country parts prices are much cheaper and more available when/if you have an issues.
10. It can get much better fuel economy than with the rotary engine. So now you can drive the car so much more withought spending so much on fuel along with no longer wondering how much longer your engine is going to last before it gets low compression.
